Hi, I’m Devan (she/her) owner and lead therapist with Good Energy Therapy. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to you step into your most empowered self with clarity, confidence, and balance. If you often feel stuck in your head, overwhelmed by overthinking, or struggling in relationships, work, or daily life, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it alone.
Using an eclectic approach, I tailor therapy to your unique needs, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Whether you need to shift thought patterns, build emotional resilience, improve relationships, or develop healthier coping strategies, we’ll create a path that works for you.
On a personal note...
When I’m not holding space for others in therapy, you can usually find me curled up with a good book (Kennedy Ryan is a favorite!) or exploring the city with my squirrel-chasing sidekick a.k.a. my beloved dog Bubba who keeps me grounded and laughing.
I’m a Black, Queer-identified therapist who’s deeply curious about how we relate to ourselves and the world around us. I love diving into anything that expands my understanding of self-talk, self-concept, and how to support healing from depression, anxiety, and complex trauma. I’m especially passionate about relational-cultural therapy work and believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for helping you reconnect with yourself, and, in turn, with others in more meaningful, authentic ways.
